ASELSAN has developed the IP ROUTER as part of it's communication network family of products. Being an integral part of the Turkish Armed Forces communication needs on the tactical field, it is the backbone of the IP based communication system. The IP based foundation of the IP Router will replace the former ISDN-ATM based communication infrastructure of TASMUS (Turkish Armed Forces Tactical Area Communication System) on the tactical field.
The IP Router has the capability of 48 Gbit/s throughput and will support IPv4 and IPv6 and routing protocols such as static routing, OSPF and BGP. It has the capabilities of Static Routing and UCMR (Unequal Cost Multipath Routing) and support protocols such as IGMP (INTERNET Group Management Protocol), PIM (Protocol Independent Multicast), DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), DNS (Domain Name Services), IPsec (IP Security) and IKE (INTERNET Key Exchange).
Having enhanced QOS features and support for at least five different service types, bandwidth limitation for both upload and download is supported. The IP Router is STANAG 4711 and STANAG 4644 compatible and has DSCP (Differentiated Services Code Point) capability. It is also compliant with MIL-STD-810-G and MIL-STD-461-E and has PoE+ Capability.
Commercial/Industrial IP Routeri on the other hand supports enhanced IP routing features with 24 10/100/1000Base ETHERNET Ports, 2 SFP Ports of 1 GBitps capacity and 1 SFP+ Port of 10 GBitps capacity.
